What do you keep in your First Aid Kit for the barn?
Sunday, December 28th, 2008Paint Pony asked:
After a quick trip to the vet this morning (nothing serious), I got to thinking. What does everyone keep onhand for minor First Aid in the barn? I keep Furizone, Cut n Heal, peroxide, vet wrap, iodine, etc. Not just something you need a prescription for, but just good items to keep on hand for the minor everyday bump, scatches, and scrapes that horses seem to get. Or items that can help in an emergency until you can get to the vet. A lot of new horse owners may not have these (or even know that you can use a lot of household items for horse First Aid) and sharing this information could save someone a lot of stress.

Is it true that Muslims have to wait a requisite amount of time before administering first aid to the injured?
Sunday, December 14th, 2008DNAgent asked:
I think my friend is wrong and I want an honest answer from someone. He told me that Muslims are required by their faith to wait a certain amount of time before administering first aid to accident victims, in order to see if Allah will take them first. I just want to know if this is an actual practice. It seems like a contradiction to not administer first aid as soon as possible and could make ERT personnel vulnerable to huge lawsuits. Someone please answer this truthfully.

Can a company restrict an employee where to perform cpr and first aid?

I work in Loss Prevention at a local mall. One of the other stores had an incident where cpr and first aid had to be rendered to a customer. The customer passed away. After our store learned that we assisted another store with the incident, they in turn wrote a policy that we are not allowed to leave property to assist another store. We are no longer allowed to render cpr and first aid help to other stores. Can a company do this?
